HELLO

I am a UX Researcher and Game Designer with a thirst for knowledge and a yearning to understand the world around me. Coming from a military background, I have learned resilience in all situations which have trained me to remain cool under pressure, allowing for clear problem solving when it is needed the most. My history in Quality Assurance has made me adept at paying attention to even the most minor details. I strive to develop with an open mind while incorporating my past experiences to grow in a field I truly enjoy.

Family History

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area to John F. Correa Jr. and Terri Anne Lyman.
Second child of five, with one older brother (Taylor Correa) and three younger sisters (Madison, Kennedy, and Carter Lyman). Raised with two older Step-Brothers (Dominik and Cameron Stewart).

Military Service

Joining the United States Army in October of 2006, I was assigned to the 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) stationed in Fort Carson, Colorado for four and a half years serving 2 terms in Iraq attached to the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force - Arabian Peninsula. Continuing my service following an Honorable Discharge with the 340th Battalion Support Brigade in the National Guard for 3 and a half years.

Project Hero

Looking to give back, in my free time I function as the Ride Leader for the San Francisco Bay Area group Project Hero. In this role I go to the Veterans Association Hospital and rice bicycles with veterans and first responders to assist them to give them a healthy outlet.

Several times a year, our group meets up with the nation wide organization to complete multiple day challenges where we assist each other to ride great distances.

ClubWaka Kickball Sunnyvale

Once a week I work as the Community-Coordinator for a kickball league in Sunnyvale with ClubWaka. My responsibilities in this role are to set up coordination with the City of Sunnyvale, build relations with our league sponsors, ensure all fields are set up prior to beginning of each game day, and maintain records of all games.
